WASHINGTON—The Partnership for America’s Health Care Future issued the following statement as our elected officials gather for tonight’s address, urging them to come together to protect and improve upon what is working in our current health care system and fix what isn’t.

“Thanks to the progress we’ve made, our health care system is working for more Americans than ever before.  Our elected officials have an opportunity to build on what is working, while coming together to fix what isn’t.  That is the approach voters demanded at the ballot box last fall, and it’s the approach Americans have supported in poll after poll.  Our leaders should take that mandate seriously, protect the care Americans depend upon, and come together to do the important work that still needs to be done.”
