Partnership for America’s Health Care Future Statement on Working with the New Congress in 2023

WASHINGTON – The Partnership for America’s Health Care Future issued the following statement as newly elected officials come to Washington, DC:

“As newly elected members of Congress come to Washington this week and the 117th Congress starts its end of year work, we look forward to working together with stakeholders, elected officials, and the Administration to continue to build on and improve what is working in health care,” said Lauren Crawford Shaver, executive director of the Partnership for America’s Health Care Future. “Building on and improving our health care system – where private coverage, Medicare, and Medicaid work together – has given millions more Americans access to affordable, high-quality health coverage and care. We want to continue that work and not start over by creating unaffordable, new government-controlled health insurance systems.
